Last Saturday's MCO autocross saw 7 twins show up to do battle with the rest of the field. Unfortunately Kenny's FR-S was MIA but on the other hand, Andre joined in the fun for the first time in ages and quickly got back into the groove.

The FT86 times were:
Code:
Me (FR-S C-class) 70.499 sec
Andre (FR-S B-class) 72.420 sec
Pierre (BRZ B-class) 75.006 sec
Colin (BRZ C-class) 75.904 sec
Justin (BRZ C-class) 76.297 sec
Karl (FR-S C-class) 78.162 sec
Sarabjit (FR-S C-class) 80.908 sec
I love the new tires I got from Slick! To see how the twins stacked up against the other cars, the full results can be found here: http://www.mco.org/wordpress/autocro...und-3-results/

Some nice shots can be found here https://www.flickr.com/photos/rdaniele/ and here http://imgur.com/a/i5iDB .

My red beast in action below -- it looks kinda plain compared to Andre's fancy graphics!

I'll look forward to it! Hopefully it will be another fast course like the one Kenny designed for last Sat, it was great fun.

Beginners more than welcome! There are several new FT86 pilots making their debut this year. I don't recall exactly what mods you've got, but you will need:
  • MCO Autocross Classing Worksheet (here) FT86's start in C-class but depending on the number of points you have to take for the mods you've done, you may get bumped up to B-class. The worksheet helps figure that out.
  • MCO Self-Tech Declaration (here) just certifies that your car is road-worthy. Be sure to bring this form to the first event!
  • An account at MotorSportReg to pay for events. $48 for non-members, $38 for members. The $5 extra if you have to rent a helmet can be paid at the event, not online.
Next event is July 12th at the Canadian Tire Center. You'll want to get there by 8:00am to get registered etc. Look for myself, Kenny, or pretty much anyone for help -- we're a friendly bunch!

Other upcoming events are listed here with more to come as the club gets confirmation from the CTC management.

Questions about the event or the process are best posted on MCO's autocross forum so the organizer (Naresh) can respond.

Anyone thinking of this event?
2015 86EXPO in West Virginia
When: August 15 & 16
Where: Summit Point Motorsports Park, WV
What: Autox, Car Show, Meet & Greet, Raffle Prizes, & A LOT OF FUN!
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...28&postcount=1

I'm not sure...

Also,

Carlisle Performance & Style 2015

Carlisle, PA
July 17-19, 2015

More info here: http://www.carlisleevents.com/carlis...e/default.aspx

There should be at least a dozen 86's from this Forum there this year.
I have 3x Double Queen, motel rooms reserved in Carlisle if anyone wants to join.
Driving down leaving 7:30am, Friday July 17.
Nice drive down to Carlisle - hills and valleys about 8hrs with a stop for lunch at Wendy's Binghampton, NY - easy on-off and gas stations.

PM me for details...

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80659

And, more local

"fitted" Ottawa Car Show
Saturday July 11, 12-5pm
Rockcliffe Airport

http://www.fittedlifestyle.com (this website is a little f-d up, doesn't load properly for me...)
I had to submit a "resume" of my car in order to enter the show lol, I would hope that means a bit higher level of vehicles on display (on the runway apparently) with fewer dilapidated Civics, etc
