just wait til you have to pay a few hundred to $1k+ for parking and there may not even be any spots open anywhere and you drive around for 30 minutes in the sticks looking for a spot

Real truth is we IT guys don't really care. Sometimes we enforce the laws, but we don't make them.

Sure we do try to keep you (well really everyone else from you) safe from hacked sites in Russia that will encrypt all your files, and maybe try to keep you from getting fired for watching porn but in the end as long as you aren't damaging our network or using up all the bandwidth payroll needs to process checks, what you watch is between you and your manager.

Best part of college by far! Pay $700 for 8 months of parking, only to find out that they sell more passes than there are spots, so sometimes, you're shit out of luck

That was better than *always* having to park down where you always needed a posse to safely get to your car... assuming it was still there. They didn't believe me when I said "uh, where's my car?" for quite a while. The real irony is it kept me from being in the first round of interviews for an internship where the company wasn't actually looking for interns; they were taking portfolios "into the back room to review with the team" on the scanner. Their annual report cost them a pretty penny, because I reported it after my interview, and the school successfully sued them for copyright infringement...

Up at the cottage with the woman tonight. Absolutely destroyed her at Scrabble, after she talked a ton of shit about how good she is at it.

It's hot as balls here, but we're going to make a trip to a new brewery and see if they have anything good.

We're also on dinner duty tonight. I'm thinking the classic steaks, salad and some form of potatoes. Any one else have some good suggestions?
