Good luck with it!
Awesome thanks!! Looks like the Monogram matches but the FRS base is different. No worries. I'll just re-pin and make sure to keep it consistent between the two connectors.

Doesn't hurt to buy the 8pin connectors and do some re-pinning :P I thought about re-creating the harness but currently do not have time to do so.

Hey guys, just wondering if there's any traction on where to buy a 6- to 8-pin harness to convert my '13 fr-s headlights to 17+ 86 headlights. Please let me know!

Also, would MY17+ BRZ headlights have the same 8-pin configuration?

I actually have the same exact question. I can't find anywhere that sells 6 to 8-pin headlight harnesses.

I found this place, but they are in Australia and it does not look like they ship to the US. They also would not be straight plug and play for the 2017+ because they require you to splice into the turn indicator wires so the indicators in the headlights will work.

The only option might be to buy these 8-pin plugs and do the re-pin yourself. The major downside to this is it will be more difficult to put the stock headlights back on unless you also found the 6-pin plug somewhere and made you own adapter.

I just bought a pair of 8-Pin Connector for the vehicle-side off of eBay and swapped the pins over to work with the headlights. They came with extra pins to crimp to your own wires as well

My old 6-pin connectors are just in storage now. If I ever wanted to put them back, I'd just depin the 8-Pin connector and put them back in the right slots

For any headlight that has integrated turn signal, you'll have to spice in the signal wire yourself anyway

Regarding the turn signals - in order to make them work, I would need to connect a wire from the turn signals on the fr-s to the correct terminal on the 8-pin connector, correct? Any advice on doing that step?

Not in particular. I haven't done it. I have the Monogram/RS lights.

You could make a jumper or harness and bring it up, or just splice

Hello, I have RS1.0 headlights on a FRS, purchased the LED86 adapters from Australia, but I get no LED DRL functionality, anyone here familiar with their harness? It does have a loose yellow wire that I thought was only for turn signal functionality on BRZ headlights, but potentially affects the RS1.0 led drls?

I don't know anything about LED86 and their custom harnesses. Maybe contact them?

If you want DRL, you have to tap into the High Beam power or do the DRL Splice from the DRL resistor power lead. Both involve removing/unplugging the DRL resistor.
