All in, I'm pleased with the mods I have had done.. next upgrade will be tyres, toying with Cup 2 Vs Pilot 4? We can't get 4S in the UK in OEM fitmet.

Hello again

I have not yet obtained the ecu. I'm waiting for the mechanic to find a way to unlock my map.

In the intake instructions, it indicates that you have to remove the snorkel, they never removed it. Could it be the reason why it does not throw more power?

Translated by google translator, I hope you can understand it.

It might make slightly more power, but nothing noticeable.

OFT or EcuTek is all you need for the ECU, no fancy unlocking needed.

Hello guys

I have gone to another workshop to get more power.

Knowing that supposedly the takeda intake did not give any extra hp in the shop where it was installed, we did a stock test and then it was given more hp.

I upload the images so that you can check the result.

If I'm reading it right, both have the intake, but the higher one is with a tune.

For stock test did you let IAM get up to 1 before testing?

Ignition advanced multiplier. Stock tune is set to .7 on ignition start and needs to see certain parameters met while driving around before going up eventually to 1.

Difference between stock tune at .7 vs 1 is about 3-4% or 5-6whp.

The difference between stock tune at 1 IAM and a stage 1 OTS tune at 1 IAM is about 3-4% or 5-6whp.

So the difference between stock tune at .7 IAM and a stage 1 tune at 1 IAM is roughly 10-12WHP.

If you and your tuner don’t know about this and don’t properly monitor the IAM and get it up to 1 before the tune most likely your baseline was with IAM at .7 but your tune is probably set to start at 1 by default.

Very good chance you need to subtract 10-12whp from before and after dyno runs to account for IAM and tune. And whatever WHP gain is left over or maybe even missing now is most likely what your “CAI” achieved/contributed.

I think his last dyno he posted was stock tune with intake vs custom tune with intake.

Yeah, that's what I am thinking.
So we have no idea how much of the gain is from an intake vs the tune.

I'm willing to bet.
Tuned with stock intake vs tuned with the aftermarket one will have less than 5hp gain on the top with everything else being nearly identical.
