Clean install so far! It's amazing how, in our engine bays, there appears to be a lot of empty space but when you try to install something there's always something else in the way. Maybe all engines are like that?

I always wondered how this compared to the Jackson Racing Kit, in terms of efficiency and 2017+ friendly install.
Maybe @CounterSpace Garage or @CSG Mike can chime in. |

Your temps are post-cooler; you can safely add 30-40F to get a pre-cooler temperature reading.

That said, if you have moisture in your oil, you got way bigger problems to worry about. |

The Greddy kit uses a different thread for the oil filter so the OEM filter doesn’t fit. Greddy makes their own filter, but any filter with the correct specs will work. Attached is pic of the filter housing with rough measurements for ID and OD. Based on a phone call with Fram, it appears that a 3614 will work, or whatever cross references with that in your favorite brand. I haven’t verified figment yet since I’ll be using the Greddy filters for the time being, but wanted to provide the information for anyone who’s interested. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thanks, Joon525. I’m confused, though, because multiple sources have confirmed that the OEM filter doesn’t work. I have an extra Toyota filter, and will try to spin it in and see if it fits.

Hmm, maybe that guy I linked to used a smaller sized OEM filter (it looks like the wider one to me though). That could be possible since the OEM filters come in different sizes. So you may not be wrong afterall. Regardless, more info is sure to be helpful for other members.

The Greddy plate adapter changes the thread to 3/4"-16 UNF. It is stated on the Greddy website that the oil cooler kit "requires use of QX-1,3, SX-1,3 oil filter," which when identified on their product inventory is a 3/4" threaded filter with 65mm diameter. It looks like "O" part numbers have replaced Q or S. Google searches for inventory QX/SX turn up 3/4" / 65mm as well http://www.greddy.com/products/ic-oil-rad/oilcooler/ http://www.greddy.com/products/engine/oil-filter/ |

Here’s a screenshot from Fram.com with the XG3614 filter as search criteria:
Based on the specs, I believe it will work. It’s 3/4 thread, has an anti-drainback valve, and the ID and OD of the gasket looks like it’ll fit on the filter housing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
