Just keep saving up...the stock rims look fine, especially when you lower your car. If they were actually 18" and an inch or two wider...I would probably save the money and keep them all together. I always find it funny when people don't know what an FR-S is and ask me what wheels are those?...and I laugh and tell them they are stock. People really like them

well, considering your budget I assume you need all season tires as you won't have budget for winter tires.
Would something like this do although it might be like 100-200 more?

motegi sp10 18x8 19lbs $552 (tirecrazy)
estimated shipping about $100 tires/wheels
mounting/balancing about $100 (costco)
total weight about the same as stock

the calcs on shipping/mounting are just approximations

well, since you wanted 8.5/9.5 rims i'd guess you had something in mind? check tirerack
