You machine have some special sauce? I can't tell you how many times I followed the instructions only to find out the environment and/or dependency list wasn't fully documented.

Nope, I pulled the whole project from scratch. The errors it prints out even tell you what to configure in IntelliJ (the code editor) for it to run correctly, and once you do that it's just a matter of following the doc's instructions of what to do.

Ooh. The classic "what's wrong? I can't read the error message. Do it for me ok?"

I told my senior engineer coworker this; I occasionally do the same shit or at least miss obvious stuff in instructions. But if you're outright skipping and then ignoring them when people ask if you've read them for an issue you're having, then that is just too much.

Am I the only one that, when approached, and they compliment the car, I cannot bring myself to say that the car is "fast". I just say it really isn't, straight line wise, just quick around turns and curvy roads.

I mean the car does look good, it looks the part, but I would just feel wrong if I told someone that I live my life a quarter mile at a time and that for those 20 seconds or more, I'm free.

I see far too many people asking super basic questions. The problem is company culture and horrible hiring practices. "Full stack" is a pipe dream that led management to believe they had a bunch of pawns they could put anywhere. Also they typically have basic CS java algorithm questions for interviews, but ask the resulting hires to do things all over the map. And when they do have an expert on something else, they stop on the of ignorant know-it-allsand are not allowed to excel... Or even say their thing/help.
So frustrating.
Everyone gets their head in too far and needs the occasional yank.

You're not alone. Even supercharged I don't consider the car to be "fast." It is quick and a lot of fun, but not fast in the sense that most people think of. That said, if someone thinks a stock twin is fast I'll happily take them for a ride in the Alfa. If they think that is fast, maybe we can find someone willing to mash the go pedal in a Model S Plaid. It can be a matter of perspective.

The only one that thinks my car is fast is the boss lady, but that is because she doesn't like speed she can hear. She drives faster than I do, but because she can't hear it as much on the Mazda 3, she often forgets to look at the dash and realize how fast she's driving.

Side note, those new Mazda 3 are very, very quiet. Feels like you're driving a cloud at times.

Driving it very hard would call for grounds for public indecency.
