Yeah mine squeaks like hell when I'm trying to adjust myself in my seat because I push my foot back on it to get some leverage.

Mine squeaks, pops, clicks, etc. At first I thought I had gum on the bottom of my shoe and it was just making a sticking noise when I lifted my foot from the dead pedal, but nope. Just more crappy build quality. I would really like to find a solution for this, as it is pretty irritating.

I haven't driven my BRZ enough to have this issue yet, but I'm wondering, is it possible to just cut the carpet there and then mount it via 3M tape directly to the floor?

I posted the fix above. 20 minutes of work and $5 for a roll of 3M body tape... If your tree clips are busted you can add another $3. My clips were pretty crappy, but the 3M tape alone stopped the noise.

Simply pop the clips out with a couple of screwdrivers or a body clip removal tool and spin off the plastic nut/fastener holding the carpet behind the pedals. Pull the carpet/pedal forward and stick some 3M body tape across the top and bottom where it contacts the metal bracket on the floor. Put it back together.

Cutting the carpet would be VERY noticeable, I wouldn't bother.

LOL it's such a crappy little nuisance and I've been seeing more and more rattles else where. I still like driving the car but wish I could pin point some of the buzzing/rattling and make it stop.

Thanks @DocWalt for the 3M solution...I'll have to give it a try myself.
