I agreen with @ZDan

4300lbs!!!! Good lord, might as well be driving a friggin Challenger.

What is the deal with Lexus making 2 sport coupes that weigh ungoldy amounts???
How about making a coupe ~3500lbs with 400+hp, I'd buy into something like that.

Everybody says they want more power but as soon as there is more and the car get's swole they freak out.

They don't make a 3500lb one with 400hp because that is not what they are into. Simple as that.

If they made a 3500lb one with 400hp all the people that wouldn't (couldn't) buy it anyway would just say it should be 600HP and weigh 3000lbs.

We are comparing apples to cantaloupes when putting these up beside the 86.

And it:
Won't have enough power
Will have the wrong engine
Will be too loose
Will be not loose enough
Will have too many gadgets
Will not have enough gadgets
Should have been shaped like X
Should have been shaped like Y
Doesn't use good enough oil
Should have been $20,000 cheaper

The Supra will never be able to live up to the hype that surrounds it. If say the odds are reasonable that this car flops. I sure hope it doesn't though.

My post..lol....and its a beautiful looking car.....I don't care about the performance aspect on this one, its the luxury and the looks that win for me....

guess that's what being older than dirt dose to you.....no longer feel the need to speed, but what that 20 something seat cover thinks....................

It's a beautiful machine, hampered by the spindle grille's overuse amongst most of Lexus' lineup.

LC > FRS/86

A lot of reasons but you're really comparing a grown up car to a boy racer car lol. I enjoyed my FRS but at this point in my life I'd take something sporty, quick, quiet, smooth, sexy, luxurious, blah blah blah you get the idea.

Take away the movie/video game presence and 2jz platform, and you're just left with another 3000lb sports coupe.

I've never understood the hype for the Supra, honestly. It's a cool car, and it has some nice lines, but people will wet their panties when they see one going down the street, and I'm just sitting there like........what?
