I’ve done about 600 or so kms since the recall and no issues. Car runs really well, in fact it seems to rev freer. I just did the Black Spur this morning, red lined it several times. Have done so before that too. No regrets going in for the recall and can recommend Glen Waverley Subaru if you’re out that way.

Been 600 kms since valve spring replacement, had it back in the shop for Toyota to look over after it sounds like my timing chain was a little lose on startup, and what seems to be a slight oil leak. Toyota couldn't find anything (they pulled the pan and said it was clean).

So just took her for a dyno - stock baseline. Pulled 6 times, 108, 110, 111, 112, 112, 111. Good enough numbers, trent at chequered identified no issues in the logs.

The 5th pull had a knock detection, which brought the mapping back a little to make the 111 on the last run, but that seems pretty normal as it was part of the ecu learning once the dyno runs started.

Runs amazing really (car also has no cabin noises, which I thought was odd for a 7 year old car). I will keep checking for oil leaks, but I have heard that there is a chance that leak is was just temporary.

I'll give it another month or two just to be sure about the recall, then the mods are going to start going in! Very exciting.

Mine will be ready in two days. The current day is march 3rd of 2020. I dropped mine 2 weeks and a half ago and it will be ready at the of this one. They sent me to Enterprise and I got an SUV (Hyundai Tucson) is a comfy car and it wastes a little more gas than my BRZ. They will change the sparkplugs, the Flywheel, Clutch, Pressure Plate, and TOB. I asked them for that because I had issues with the transmission. The only thing I'm paying is for the parts. Labor is included. I hope they don't screw up the engine.
A did a little research about that and I found out mostly FR-S in small towns were affected because Toyota mechanics don't have experience with boxer engines. I hope Subaru dealer does a good job as is my only car. Good luck with yours!!

What if a car was sold to a reputable car dealer and the reputable car dealer sold it to another person months ago , and the recall letters keep coming.
#6 arrived today.
I feel sorry for whoever sees the money light!

My car has had the recall done over 16 months now and NO issues. How’s everyone else’s recall been since the had it done?

If you have had issues have they been sorted to your satisfaction?
