Just looked up the chart on Michelin site. The Pilot Super Sport doesn't have a 235/40 or 235/45 listed, so he couldn't buy it anyway. This has been replaced by the PS4S in which the section width of the 235 is wider than the 225. So you would not have broken his heart. Besides, you'd probably go 235/40 to get closer to the right circumference. If you are going wide for looks, and have rims wide enough, then 245/40's are the better option as the circumference is close to OEM.

Read page one paragraph one of this thread. My attempt at humor aside,( Which may be terribly tire nerdy at best) This is the meaty tire thread, which is for "255 + , everything else is just a normal tire size" as per the OP.

I'm going to wait about another 100 posts and by that time the 225s should have worked their way into this meaty tire thread.
It did say 255+ for a reason, not sure why so many 245 and especially 235 were posted?
BRB, about to go post about my turbo in the FI section. Don't have one but....

I don't have a Performance Package, just run-of-the-mill suspension.

Just a question:

I'm planning to get Work GT5 18x10.0 + 38 with 265/35/18 tires.
Currently on Tein Flex Z Coilovers and am thinking of going -3 in the front and -2 in the rear.
Will this cause any issues/rubbing?

That'd mostly be dependent on ride height and camber. Spring rate and damping will contribute, too.

I run 18x9.5 +40 with 255/35R18 MPSS, -2.5 camber, and about finger gap of clearance. I'll rub if I have someone sitting in the back, have a bunch of full jerry cans in the trunk, or hit a particularly gnarly expansion joint at high speed.

Did you, by chance, buy those TEs from somebody with a red FRS out there in NC/SC?
