Headlights

Decided to start working on the front of the car now.

Gonna start the wire tucking process.

I started with my OEM headlight wiring and will loom in my Circuit Demon Morimoto headlights as well.

I plan on using both sets, so I wanted to have both sets of wires nicely welded together for simple transitions.

I know most people like to hide their work and not show the process, but I don't mind, it's for others to learn...either way, I took a few shots of how I ran some of my wires throughout the car. Feel free to ask questions or give me constructive feedback 😊.

Slowly moving along...got the driver's side harness wired, loomed, and set.

Working my way towards the passenger side connectors today.

HopefuI can get this side loomed and wired up as well, so that I can begin wiring up my fusebox.

It looks like a shit show, but it's really just extra wire...I pretty much have all the connectors in place.

Once I tuck the passenger side harness along the fenderwell, all I gotta do is connect them to the appropriate fuse panel slots.

Far more effort then I would ever put into a build. Nice work.

I really don't envy all the wiring, insane to watch you plowing through this, love it. Can't wait to see the light output from those headlights.

OCD Got The Best of Me

Yep, well, tore the other harness apart and made this one.

I figure since this is Vegas, and the car is going to be pushing the limits on pretty much everything, I wanted to ensure the wire harnesses exposed to the environmental elements were protected better, which is why I decided to break out the big guns and loom it in Raychem DR2

Don't Mind Sharing

Hey guys...here's my finished driver side harness 'exterior' .and ah, I don't mind sharing the tricks of the trade.

I remember back when everyone was so secretive of their tucks...the way I see it, it can be as wild as your wildest imagination!

Either way, hope you enjoy, and I hope to get this damn thing started soon lol.

With how detail-oriented you are about the hidden stuff, I'm really looking forward to seeing this project continue to evolve and, of course, the end result! Great stuff, man.

Any concern with the lack of rubber grommets on the driver’s side harness going into those sheet metal holes? I feel like even with the wrap, it is just a matter of vibration and time leading to a grounded or cut harness.

Yeah, still in the works with that...I have rubber grommets for that hole, however, I think I'm going to redo the harness with an autosport/mil spec quick disconnect harness at those points.

If you scroll up, the passenger side is fitted with the grommet I'm mentioning...but yeah, still up in the air.

I'm ordering the quick disconnect connectors and will see what style I like better 😉

I did notice the other side, which is why I mentioned just that side. I was thinking you would get to it, but it looked so finalized that I wanted to mention it just in case it was overlooked.
