Since the front bumper was a bit tweaked, I decided to drill through the Greddy piece and bumper, securing them together with plastic clips. Barely noticeable and much more secure. I also installed VLAND taillights. I tried to do the headlights, but the rings that secure the bulbs in the housing were missing. Those should be inbound soon.

We had a cruise day with our local club as a season closer before winter. 9 car group was perfect and the route was 150+km of lovely back roads and twisties.

No problems so far and the induction noise isn’t as pronounced. I probably got used to the sound. I haven’t serviced it yet since I’ve only driven it around 2000 miles since I put it on, but yes I will have to take off the bumper to clean it unfortunately. I did notice on my OFT that my intake temps are around the same as stock, but I love the room that it gives the engine bay and how it cleans it up!

Had my car in at local FT86 shop for custom fabbing for a 2.5" OP. Finalizing fitment for production. Did a bit of data logging with my tuner.

Then changed my trans and diff fluid.

Upgraded Cooling System

Previously, -->https://www.ft86club.com/forums/show...65#post3546165

It's day 2 working on the cooling system my2016. Straight forward install but it wasn't easy on the body. pulling the hoses was quite the battle.

Installed a Mishimoto radiator/fanshroud/thermostat/hoses/clamps, HPS heater core hoses, and an OEM GR86 oil cooler with some Verus caps.

Hopefully I can finish this project tomorrow. Just gotta recheck the connections before I fill it up with Subaru coolant then reinstall the airbox, support brace, and the bumper.

-Cheers

Looks great. Are those hoses silicone? I've read where some folks have had problems with them leaking coolant. Let us know how they do.

Verus front wheel deflectors

Back in July, I installed Verus deflectors. My car is lowered 1" and I guess I should have anticipated how often I would find speed bumps, uneven driveways, or large wooly caterpillars that would hit the deflectors.

I may replace the outboard portion with some ABS so that it will bend and spring back into place.

ABS is more of a rigid plastic.

I would try UHMW instead. It is cheap, readily available, tough and flexible, and available in a wide range of sizes. You can use a heat gun to shape it and it holds that shape pretty well.

And is not UV stable and will get brittle in the sun.

One oil leak from new shortblock after 1k miles. Hopefully it’s not the rear main, best case some oil that was spilled on redoing the timing, medium case it’s the upper oil pan, doesn’t look like the lower pan, autox this weekend.

Did a quick wipe down of the engine bay since I have to wait for Autozone to diagnose my battery (that I'm sure is bad since it's an AGM type that won't charge past 12.45 volts).
