The newer version of Valenti Taillights have built in flasher module. Unless the OP gets a old stock. When I got mine last year I didn't need the flasher module.

I got mine 2014, and didn't need one.
I only have the Valenti Euro winker relay because I am a lazy person and it adds tap turn.

I installed my valentis without proper gasket installation. Been through all kinds of car washes and high pressure hoses. No condensation or water or anything

I was, and when I was researching, before I bought them, I read that some we're having a problem with the helix/Valenti. That they were knockoffs, and not DOT approved, but I have had them for a year and no problems so far.

Just can't believe Everything you read on the internet.

Isn't it DOT approved if it has a light on the side of the house so if viewing the car from the side, you can see the taillight? I thought I saw that in a SpeedFactory ad on youtube.

That is one requirement. Also has to meet the visible distance and brightness requirements.

I would think they also have to have the correct colors as well.
