Valve Cover Gaskets
Has anyone here had their valve covers done? Been trying to find threads but all i can find is timing cover post.
Curious if RTV is used in the process of replacing the gaskets. Getting my tube seals redone in a week or so and I'm nervous.

Yeah follow the tech manual. Consider getting a gasket set too, to replace the spark plugs gaskets. I did mine like last month.

I think my valve covers are also leaking. Is it possible to remove said covers without having to removing the front timing cover? Can this also be done without pulling out / removing the whole engine from the engine bay? Also, does one have to drain the oil before removing the valve covers?
I need also to replace my spark plug tube seals and would be doing it at the same time as this. |

If you look in @Ultramaroon's sig he has the manuals linked. Just don't beat him at Dejarik or he will rip your arms off.

Here’s the factory seal on mine. Seems excessive, but effective. It was the plug tube that failed on me. Looks like even touched the cam, I put a smaller bead.
