Fairly common it seems which suggests that all are susceptible to varying degrees.

honestly, yours are far from bad. You can barely even notice yours

mine was like yours initially then it began to get worst.

Wow.

We are SO OCD about our cars!

My front bumper sags ever so slightly as well, and what bugs me even more is that my passenger door sags nearly 1/32" and it's highly visible in the window sill lines that flow into the fenders.

No one will ever notice but me.

One of my coworkers has a black Ford Mustang, '09 I think. The gap between his hood and his right front fender is 5/8" if it's a millimeter!

I think Japanese cars in general are amazingly consistent...

That's ridiculous. It's clearly 1.45 ±0.02mm.

The first time I pulled my bumper off, I figured this would start to become an issue for us.

The 2017 headlight support brackets (the ring around the headlights under the bumper) was updated with 2017 and later model BRZ and 86, but while the issue were remedied with additional tabs under headlights, the long-term the fix wasn't so complete.

In Japan, many had their fenders punched upwards to close that gap, but the main problem is the overhang of the front bumper only being supported by the upper screws in the engine bay and side tabs is too much, and with bumpy roads in the USA, extended high speed use, and occasional bumps underneath with eventually loosen them from the tabs again.
This especially if the car is lowered causing bumper contact or have tires wide enough to tag the fender often. Toyota/Subaru also sells update clip reinforcements too, but that is also, temporary.
