Looks good.

ETA I'm dropped about 3/4"
Yes, works great! Just make sure to set them with the suspension compressed.

Washed it after a long 269 mile ride yesterday.

Thnaks, good to know. I'll be dropping the car with them unattached.

Gave her its first ever dyno.

Bone stock for 7 years (November 2012 build), post valve spring replacement.

Did 6 runs in 20 mins - got a bit over 112kw (150hp) on Checkered Tuning dynapack hub dyno here in aus. Typical dyno runs are 140-145hp, so I am super happy

My aim is to try and get 40hp from NA mods, or close to it.

It will be one dollar sign at a time.

I'm hoping to get an extra 25hp while remaining streetable, and getting the last 15 for the track car conversion - possibly making some internal bits better for higher revs.

You guys got e85 in Australia? 40hp is gonna be really tough without it

Also, for the cost, you might as well boost it. It'll be far cheaper and easier, and just as reliable, but with more power

I don't know anything about your build, but you might want to look into weight loss as well as power. There could be big gains if you haven't already started the weight loss train.

Yeah, some weight loss is part of the plan later in the build - I'll be buying another car in around 3 years (still trying to pay off the missus car), and that's when its going full track conversion.

Or so is the plan anyway.

Oh, and yeah I know boost can do significantly more instantly and for chump change, but the engine was designed for NA - and I dont know how many engines we will be able to say that for anymore.

Apart from very expensive sports cars, practically everyone is moving to boost, including the next 86. I'm ok with getting just 40hp of extra NA power, slowly over time, even if it costs me a for bit.

Fun fact - this is the most powerful production NA boxer 4 ever made (for all that we lambaste it, that's actually impressive given the emissions requirements). To be honest I'm not sure if that will ever be broken because of the way the world is going.

So I swapped out my faded factory fender garnishes for the intec turn signal ones. A heads up for anyone with older models, I would highly recommend buying new clips for the fender garnishes. I had a bunch of broken clips due to becoming old and brittle. Car looking much better without the faded stock ones.
