Nameless downpipe combo with helmholtz resonater

I'm thinking of getting the Nameless downpipe combo, but I was wondering if the helmholtz is worth getting? Anyone know if it does a good job of getting rid of drone? I have a mxp comp rs and planning on JDL EL headers in the future, and I figured the resonator would help get rid of the drone, kinda like a precaution. Anyone have experience with this downpipe?

I have the non-resonated version, and a friend of mine has the resonated version.

We have the same nameless EL headers, but different catback setups, but it does sound like the resonated version has less drone.

His WOT is louder than mine (verified at SCCA events), but the steady state sound around town and on highways is less boomy with the resonated setup.

On my FRS, I had the nameless headers and front pipe with the resonator. I think it helped for drone and rasp (but that REALLY depends on your catback), and I liked it. Still louder than say the JDL ultra quiet frontpipe.

I have the 3" Nameless downpipe combo with helmholtz resonator and high flow cat, Nameless long tube header and 3" perrin resonated catback.

I can tell you that I like it and there isn't much drone overall. I can't tell you what it would sound like on your system of course, but if you're on the fence about it, I would just get the resonator

Let me know if this works, I also have a 13lb flywheel, so the revs happen a bit quick.. - https://photos.app.goo.gl/QLgkbYfEednEYJ748

i dunno.
Sounds hella ricey to me.

No offense intended, just saying. Just sounds like the regular ol' try-hard Honda Civic around town

Very high pitched, sharp sound.

Everyone has their own sounds they like . To be honest, when I listen to the video it has a little rasp when it's bouncing off the redline. It's not until about a minute in that I hold it at some lower RPM's, which is more indicative of what it sounds like on the streets.

where the heck did you read the word 'raspy' in my reply?

You are offended? You? With your "bone stock" FRS/BRZ??
You're offended by my comment on someone else's exhaust?
Ooooooookay.

Yep. 100% If you like it, that's fine.
Like I said, I wasn't trying to say it was bad, or ugly, or whatever else. I was simply commenting that it sounds like one of the 500 Honda Civics in my town, in the higher RPMs. Take it for what you want.
Also, I don't know what to really believe. I think exhaust notes don't sound authentic when they are recorded digitally and replayed. Nearly every single exhaust tone I've heard played off of a computer is always just like for me.

Tbh, same for like any intricate sound. Like whenever someone records their engine and tries to hone in on a specific valve tapping or something. Just doesn't sound the same on Youtube as in real life.
