Soft touch rev limit on OFT setting ?

Like the title says i'm looking to adjust my rev limit . I drift the car and i hate that it just stops when i hit rev limit . I have tried looking around and no good solid results . I was also considering the bee r rev limiter but if i can do it on oft it would be a waste of money . What i want is pretty much in the video i linked .

ask @aagun for his settings, the soft rpm limiter is easy see the tune tweaks link below, but getting the popping will require fuel add as well, i believe @aagun has this sorted

would those rev limiter settings be okay on a turbo application ? I noticed they are for NA tunes .

you still have the safguard of the standard fuel cut rev limiter in ecu code. You just adding a soft rev limiter using ignition retard. With a turbo you may need to adjust the amount of retard so it works correctly.

if your oft tuned it might already be installed in tune

Okay , so i'm looking at the base timing b and it already looks like it has the -0.12 at 7400 rpm . It's not giving me the desired effect . It kind of just floats up and down slowly and every so often it still feels like i'm hitting a brick wall depending on how aggressive i drive .

try increasing the retard to -12 from -0.12

thx@

base
rev limiter keep the engine healthy , that will cut fuel form the engine to drop the speed in safe . cutting fuel is safe for catalysts . ignition retard is only for catless and turbos engine type
gt86 rev up to 7600 the fuel will cut then it will resume at 7450 and so

whats happen it we force the speed up more then 7600? the ecu will cut the fuel to drop the speed less then 7000s then resume the fuel
thats called rev limiter fail safe

ignition is the best way to keep the power in the engine , it will keep the turbo spooling while gear change . (antilag)

at this momnet my setting is
rev limit = 7600 to 7600
base timing = 0 @ 7580

2nd but active fail safe
3rd works great

or more means more ignition retard .

So i set base timing b to -8 and it kind of just holds the rpms at around 7 . It holds the rpms but not the effect i wanted. It does however back fire pretty loud when i shift.
