There's no way to automate this process without jailbreaking the iphone ? If not, how do others handle this. It looks like bluetooth does not work properly for this and it really really sucks having to manually disable and then enable again the hotspot each time i enter my car

If the hotspot stays active on your phone you cant get a wifi widget app that lets you turn it on with one tap from the home screen. I prefer that TBH cuz it helps save data when I need too haha.

This in a nutshell.

A non jailbroken iPhone saves battery by disabling the hotspot after the last client disconnects unless you keep it on the hotspot setup screen and won't reconnect until you do so unless the client is another apple device than can trigger it automatically. Damned apple ecosystem walled garden nonsense.

I didn't know that. That's such an inconvenience. Problem is that the bluetooth does not seem to be working as well.

Google music/Amazon Music

Has anyone gotten google music or amazon music to work on their Dashlinq4? Both will play for one or two songs, and then quit/restart. Spotify works fine, but I was hoping to switch to Amazon music, since I'm already paying for Prime.

Google Play Music works fine for me. Are you streaming or downloading to the local storage?

I keep seeing comments about sound quality being bad, but doesn't this thing support USB OTG?

A $50 DAC piped over to an amp would fix all of these problems.
