Ah, so they just switched from a hard-wired cable to a removable cable. Excellent.

Yup! I will get lots and lots of photos tonight! I am going to install it at my work parking lot haha! I wonder how sound quailty will be vs 2013 "upgraded" (touch screen non-bespoke one) headunit.

Angry

So I got my unit and am a little upset. The buttons dont work at all non of them. I can turn the dial to change volume but that is it. Also upon closer inspection the seal is broken and there are stripped screws on it as if someone opened it at customs and f*****d it up. I could also not get the factory amp to power on so the door speakers would work. My jimmies are rustled!!!! I have sent them an email to see what the next step is going to be. My hopes and dreams are crushed! Also the factory trim doesn't want to fit back on either (yet it sits perfect like the oem one did)

If the trim isn't quite fitting back on, then you've got the unit mounted too far out. You need to move the mounting brackets closer to the face of the unit, which will probably require bending part of the bracket out of the way or grinding it down.

Been a while since I've visited my thread. Been happy with my Dashlinq 4 for a while now, love using it everyday, can't drive without Pandora or Waze now! Anyway, thought I'd checkup since I saw the Dashlinq CT stuff, any other Dashlinq 4 owners install the CT firmware on their unit yet? I don't really want to be the guinea pig ;P (especially since I got mine rooted with all the apps and customizations I want on there)

Is the new firmware available? I thought they were still developing it.

OJ = SWC | Blue = AMP ON

Remove the SWC pin and wire from the 6 pin connector

Cut the SWC wire so I can use the pin with the Ca-FI AMP ON wire

Use the SWC pin (now connected to the AMP ON) in the 10 pin connector

So I didn't do anything to my antenna lead wire.

After that, I reconnected everything and went and with the car.
Don't forget to tape up and cap off any exposed wires!
Hey, I know this is a super old post but I just did this, My door speakers still dont work

That means your car isn't getting a +12V amp remote trigger signal.

Did you look over CA-Fi's wiring diagram sticker and/or docs (if they provided any), or did you just do exactly what lamune posted? CA-Fi may have fixed the oddball wire colors that I mentioned in my earlier post.

If you're unsure what to do, you should post some good clear pictures of the harnesses CA-Fi provided, with all of the wires untangled and spread out so we can see the colors and what goes where, and a picture of their pin-out table (make sure all the writing is legible).

Anyone else who receives one of these HUs, would you please post good pictures of all the harnesses like that before you make any modifications?

Here are all the wires it came with. You don't need to use many. on the last picture with colors, the one with the red arrow I cut the orange wire out (if you leave it in your buttons will not work. fast fact you can program the buttons to do whatever you like in the menus if you want i.e. the gps button will go to home if you want), ignore the blue amp on wire in green, and hooked the brown oem wire (I think if I remember it was from pin 10 to the red one in the back area to get the factory amp on. I hope this kinda helps for now. Maybe I can redo this post at a later date and make it better haha!! I have a lot more knowledge on this now so ask away
