Those ads - what they are asking is the LOTD, given the BRZ limited sits at a Canadian MSRP of $29,395. You'd think this was the Focus RS or something, not a 4 year old model whose sales have been in decline. I guess it being spring the dealers are betting that the lure of a sports car right now will override their customers' common sense.

Talking about LOTD - here is the Jalopnik headline on the Subaru presser:

Can't wait to see this...
Been awhile since Ive been on here. But this caught my eye. Do we believe this is the answer a lot of people have been waiting for on this engine?

Probably more than an aftermarket equivalent.

Got a feeling it's Similar to the Brembo Package on the Miata Club. So possibly similar price. Wheels may be seperate or part of the package we'll have to wait alittle longer for more infor.

LOTD or not that is what they are selling for and have been for a while now. So even if the Special Editions gets called the LOTD then it will still be pushing $40K here. Not saying for a second that I agree with it but will betcha a beer they are closer to $40K than $35K when (if) they come to Canada.

The brakes, wheels and the dampers are said to be exclusive to the package.

That's true tcoat but in the end that the same thing Mazda say their Brembo Package and wheels are exclusive including their dampers. It's just about the same.not identical but the same idea.

LOL I just was answering where you said the wheels may be separate. I know nothing about Miata brembo packages. In fact I am in the negatives when it comes to any Miata knowledge. People leave knowing less than they started about Miatas just by getting too close to me.

The 86/FRS switched from Showa to Sachs shocks starting in 2015. Did the BRZ not receive the same update? Or are these differently valved Sachs dampers than the factory ones?
