or she's 105, but with the northern windchill, it only feels like 77.

So I've posted a picture of the local weather report showing it's around 109°F (43°C).
That's also fake news, he claims it's only 25°C ( 77°F ).

So can somebody post a picture of his thermometer in Phoenix AZ, many thanks.
(He's probably going to claim it's photoshopped, but worth a try)
it's more fun here to change tactics.

get him to prove that it's 77 degrees in arizona. but if he tries to take a picture of his thermometer, question the calibration of the unit, and pester him for the last time he had it calibrated. if he has an answer for that, start creating doubt that the place that wherever he went for the calibration is either out of date or doesn't officially recognize the continental drift recalibration formula that only real thermometer certifiers use for the most accurate data.

never forget:

arguing with an idiot never goes well. they'll drag you down to their level, and then beat you with experience.

Being woken 3-4 times a night to assist her going to the bathroom is tiring me out but given the wife still works it is unfair on her. Mum is losing the use of her legs (Parkinson's) and watching her try to walk is painful. She tries to walk, with the help of a wheeled frame, but the signal just isn't get through. Severe spine curvature, becoming locked in. And watching the dementia take a little of her each day makes me cry.
I feel bad that she's going into a home but I don't feel guilty.
I am not suggesting there is anything unique here but by f*ck this old age thing is horrible.
On the bright side it means I won't be the one to find her no longer with us, I will just get the phone call.

the days i used to do some maintenance work at the dementia/alzheimers ward at the retirement community were always rough. i still struggle with the idea of keeping people alive in that state... we put our dogs to sleep when they get old and pee in the house. personally, i'd like to go out that quick when i get that old and troublesome.. sure would save a lot of hassle.
