[FYI] Street Legal Info
**This information comes directly off of the California Highway Patrol website. It was last updated in 2003 but most all of the codes are still the same.**

Link to California Vehicle Code: http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/lov/lovd12.htm While these aren't as actively enforced up north here in SoCal you can and will find nit picky officers that will try and get you for everyone of these. Knowing is half the battle ladies and gents. |

my car already break two of those VPCs, stereo too loud (if my oem radio is cranked to max you can easily hear it 50ft away with windows down) and no rear reflectors.

Stereo is subjective and usually has to be teeth rattling which means subs and amps. Dead giveaway for officers will be rattling trunks.
As for the side markers. If they haven't said anything count yourself lucky. Just hope you don't get stopped by an anal officer that'll go over every detail of your car and don't give them reason to either. |

The noise citation info. always cracks me up. Officers can cite cars for anything that they deem "too loud," but motorcycles can be as loud as they want because loud pipes save lives...hypocrisy at its finest

FYI- lightly tinted front windows will usually not get you pulled over in CA unless you are being pulled over for other violations and the cop wants to be a prick. However, if you are at an airport (LAX in particular) and have any kind of tint, keep your windows all the way down, they are very strict at airports.

Only been written up once for a front license plate... that was a "left under the wiper blade" fix it ticket which only cost me $10 because I "fixed it" and went back to my normal ways. |

Blue and yellow headlights. Headlights must be white - blue and yellow are illegal (24011 VC). Look for the DOT symbol on the bulb and package.
Seriously? O.o I was interested in the light blue headlights, not sure but they always looked nice for me lol Headlights brighter or higher wattage than those from the factory. You may be able to see better, but the lights are illegal (24011 VC). but the FRS lights aren't really that bright, for a brand new car I feel like the lights are really weak O.o |

Light blue headlights (super whites?) will usually be white in color so they should be okay.
