XSXV: Nissan R34 Skyline from "Fast and Furious"

This car was originally a stunt car from universal studios. Was repainted black once it came to Houston TX to a private collector. And that was my old car on the left I miss it.

Drop off by tow truck.

Quick look under the sun then straight to the wheels.

IronX, brushes, APC to clean up entire wheel, and foam rewash just for good measure. Note how ironx is kept OFF rotors (made of iron).

sanding out scratch on the hood

Ready for surgery.

Cutting. Metallics really coming out

Final polish.

After cquartz, and left overnight to harden. We stacked on menzerna powerlock.

Everything clear coated gets sealant.

After 30 minutes we removed the selant and gave it a few hours to cure more. In the mean time we cleaned up the compounds and did basic detailing on the rest of the car.

Paint over spray from movie car. Those spots are famous! lol

cleaned and dressed. calipers were ghetto painted not much we can do there

Chemical Guys Black light to add depth.

Pics.

Professional Pics:

Video to show the finish. Enjoy in 1080

From what I remember hearing that R34 isn't a real one but a R32 fitted with R34 body parts?

Any truth to this.

Its real alright. Down to the RB motor. State legal to be driven. You're mistaking some of the other stunt cars which were VW bugs with R34 panels. I dont think a R32 would have an interior like that

Um, pretty sure he meant R32 Skylines which also come with RB motors, not the fat AWD Golfs. I believe there are several in Canada like that. Kind of how some people convert S14s to look like R33s.

Couple years already. Over-rated a bit in my completely biased opinion.

Technically all R34's are not DOT legal to be registered and driven around in the states.

State legal? In Texas?

Maybe I should pick up an R34... I always thought all the grey-market cars were being sent to the crushers...

Well you might get it by the state registration people, but the federal government can seize it at any time because there were no R34's have ever been imported by an import company legally.
