Here's an benchtop test of my supercharger before installing it into the car tomorrow.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rppLCjEarV4"]Bench Test: Phantom Full Throttle Supercharger - YouTube[/ame]

It'd be better if I had a convenient 12V power source that could supply more than 5A, but just for the sake of the test I used the starter battery. I know that sucker can supply 600A...

The tq below 5500 rpm is a lot more with the electric charger. Also remember as soon as you go e85 you take a big hit in fuel mileage..... This doesn't affect mileage.

Area under the curve is a lot different and we already have higher HP than anyone running e85.

Plus there are plenty of us that don't have access to E85.

Just for the sake of factual accuracy... a good ECUtek e85 tune only costs $350 if you already have a license, $650 if you need the license. I see no reason why a e85 tune would cost any more than an equivalent tune needed to run this ESC.

A Borla header with 1 million mile warranty and world class customer support costs under $600 and makes roughly the same power as the "$1000" examples that you posted, many of which actually cost less.

E85 is less efficient than gasoline so you will burn more of it but it also costs less, often making it a wash for those with good e85 availability.

I am in no way saying that a e85 tune and header will achieve the same results as this ESC. Just correcting some glaring mistakes that I felt were too large to ignore.

I'll be dynoing eventually; Tempe AZ is between 1,140 - 1,495 ft MSL.

this is better than e85+header imo. I still have not seen just e85+header give this much power and torque all the way across. Not to mention fenton is on crappy gas(at least thats what i remember him saying). With some good ole 93 we might even see more power on the dyno. I did a dyno once on 91 my car was 157hp with 121tq..the next week i went back on the dyno with 93 and my car hit 168hp with 138tq.. with better gas there could be better gains. hoping someone in the states does a dyno

Good points, the curve with the ESC is much better. I don't see why E85 + header has to compete with/be mutually exclusive with the ESC. If you have access to E85, I'm sure there will be tunes out there soon for the ESC + E85 that will probably make at *least* 220 whp, probably more. Add a header and you should see gains as well, though I think an E85 tune + ESC will get you most bang for the buck. That's a lot of power in a car this light, and it's great that it can be put back to stock in an hour or two max.

Based on what we have seen so far e85 is going to be very impressive with this system.

Just hopefully they will be able to run the two together without maxing out the fuel system.
