So we can assume in association with or by itself the ABS system is activating your rear brakes for "traction" or lack there of.

"auto" 4wd units I think work that way if they don't have a electronic diff...wheel is spinning...locks brake on that wheel...to divert the power to the wheel that is "stuck" in the mud.

Pretty much. So the system must recognize that it isn't seeing a change in the throttle position and uses the ABS to slow the wheel speed down to control traction. Surprised that it works as well as it does. Unfortunately it would seem I will be replacing my brake components sooner if I don't get some more traction.

If you long press to turn off traction control like you did before the swap, there's no traction control actuation, meaning you can turn off traction control and not have it interfere with acceleration?

Twice now I have ran into an issue with my car falling on its face with 50% or more throttle in 3rd/4th gear. Drive fine until you pass ~ half throttle and pegs lean on the wideband. Going to check the codes, and remove both fuel pump assembly and the assembly on the passenger side and make sure nothing is clogged or fallen off.

Trying to wire up fans doing what you did with the relays. The two wires from my ecm are grounds for fan 1 and fan 2. I know you said to connect the main wires on relay 2 to constantly ground fan 2. Relay 1 will be primary fan and relay 3 will be secondary fan. Which wires get connected in relay 2: 3+5?
Trying to figure out where I would connect the wires from the ecu into the relay?

Oh man. I've slept since then haha. Yes 3 and 5 get attached together. Then just attach the ECM Ground points to the factory ground trigger wires.

Think I got it now. The factory ground trigger wire should be on #3 on relay 1 and #3 on relay 3?

#1 on both.

Also because I haven't had any meaningful updates:

Any update on your engine regarding the metal in the filter, or it falling on its face, from TSP or otherwise?

Nope. Going to do an oil change next week and check on it. TSP never did get back to me. I didn't try contacting again though. I will make sure to call multiple times if I find more metal.

It's been too cold to really get on it lately. Seems to be happening at lower fuel levels as well, so I am assuming it has something to do with my fuel set-up. I keep meaning to jump into it and check everything but other stuff comes up. I don't have a garage so I am at the mercy of weather.

I did find the local junk yard has a good aluminum case Ford 8.8 that I am going to pick up and work on a swap kit for.

You are a godsend! Completed the first real test drive. Only issues are clutch master cylinder needs to be adjusted and the MRS device keeps dropping out. Probably loose wire. Wife went along. Also should have listened to you about the coolant hoses. Now everything is working perfect on the cooling side.

Awesome! And my MRS device drops out randomly as well. Dash lights up like a Christmas tree, power steering turns off, speedo turns off but tach/coolant/gas gauge all work. Turn the car off and back on and everything works perfect. It’s not repeatable either.
