Vivid racing is 6300.. pro import is 5995. Too damn expensive for no more torque your going to be able to be tuned without E85.

Hey sroby, I see them on ft86speedfactory for a tad over $4600:

With shipping they're a bit over $4800, but I think that shipping fee applies to any kit (like the JR kit). So seems like the Vortech is maybe $625ish more than the JR kit, definitely something to think about. I bought my kit used for cheap, so we'll see how that works out for me

And I'll just add one thing - when I mentioned "old school" referencing the Vortech's drive system vs something fancier like the Rotrex drive system, it's not necessarily implying it's outdated or poor. Often the case is "if it works then don't change it", especially if they're implementing incremental optimizations to their drive system. A great example of this is the Eaton TVS roots blower. In many minds, roots = dinosaur when it comes to superchargers. The TVS blowers, while using the same basic 'old' design, have been highly optimized and are quite efficient when compared to other types of positive displacement blowers (i.e. Eaton twin screw, etc.)

I don't know if Rotrex units are rebuildable but the Vortech ones are and for quite cheap.

Rotrexs are 'officially' not, though there's a really interesting thread in here somewhere about how someone pulled one apart, rebuilt it, and it worked great (last I heard). If they fail and you're looking for support from Rotrex, they make you send yours in. They then pull it apart, look at it, and decide whether to send you a brand new one or not.

How much is a rebuild like that cost on average?

Not too bad, I've heard around there, for other rebuilders. Jon Bond is extremely reputable.

A lot of people have had their sprintex sc rebuilt by him with great results.

I would run the 3.12 pulley right off the bat if I did it again, or possibly a smaller pulley but I think anything smaller than that will overspin the blower at high RPM
