I can't say conclusively if your temps will drop, as I have no other data to work with from you. Either you have enough cooling or you don't; there's no "in between".

The Koyo would be the route I'd go for cost effectiveness. If you want something with more clearance, a custom radiator (that maximizes clearance, and also has a shroud built-in for aftermarket fans) or just the core portion of the JR Dual cooler are options.

The extra noise from fans is subjective; I don't mind it at all since you barely hear them with the windows up, and not at all at highway speeds or with the radio on.

First dyno runs

Dyno results from last Friday. 2015 FRS, JRSC-C30 Kit, Delicious Flash N Go Tune, Ace 350 Header, and full exhaust. Running Clear (non-ethanol) 92 Octane fuel. Learned a lot regarding dyno's, fuel, and future upgrades. Ambient temps were 90+, so took some time to cool the car down before the 3rd... and best pull. Glad to have some numbers on paper to see where things go!!

So my power problems were a bad catalytic converter. It came loose from the shell then got compressed into the conical section of the exit of the cat. It compressed the core into a cone shape then started peeling the outer layers away. It was a high flow metallic core cat. Anyway, problem solved.

Anyone have a picture of the EO# badge, engraving, certificate, whatever it gets for the CARB legal tune?

Location of the cat? Brand of header or front pipe it was on? Was this on hw you bought new or was used by someone else before?

After talking with Mike at CSG and Zach at Delicious, we have some theories on the low dyno results. Conservative Dyno, Traction Control not fully turned off, Poor fuel choice, Heat soaked system. First time experience for me, so will be better prepared next time. Data logs have been reviewed by Zach and the dyno numbers do not best represent how the car is actually running.

Ass in the seat says much more... lol.

If you've purchased a CARB tune, you should have a CARB sticker.

Interesting i was expecting at least 25 more hp at the wheels on a dynojet and with 92 but those guys know what they are talking about did you happen to get a baseline before the kit i would be interested to see it

Quoting an e-mail sent to @cgjeff:

Based on a gasoline run and a 160 baseline, 236whp is about right; this extrapolates to 295 crank horsepower.
That dyno reportedly reads about 160whp on a 200hp stock car.

200 / 160 * 236 = 295

Crude, but somewhat accurate.

No baseline on my car, but they do have two others that dyno'd at 160 & 161 whp.

Im hoping to get the Harrop kit once it gets CARB approved but considering the Edlebrock kit is advertised as a CARB kit even though it is CARB pending I got curious if anyone actually received a CARB sticker from either the JRSC kit or Works kit (only approved kits I'm aware of).

CARB stickers are included with the purchase of a CARB tune, for the Jackson Racing kit.

Off topic, but Edelbrock will be mailing out CARB stickers to owners shortly.

Also off topic, but the Harrop kit is also pending.

As you know, 'it's common knowledge that the kit is CARB approved' type of conversation doesnt work with the popo.
