Installed iJDMTOY 4th brake light today

So today was the day to install the 4th brake light. The install went easier than expected. On iJDMTOY's website there is install instructions:
http://store.ijdmtoy.com/Valenti-Sty...tion-a/617.htm
On my 2019 86 the wiring was different. The OEM brake wire color is GREEN. The OEM tail light wire color is RED. Just an FYI to check your wires before installing as things change model year to model year and car to car. What is so on an FR-S doesn't mean that it will be the same on an 86 and a BRZ.

Help please

Bro I need your help . I got mine for Christmas and I’m having trouble .
I believe my wires are set up exactly the same .

My ijdmtoy kit has red - brake blue - power black - ground

My issue is that when I connect the
Black - to black ( ground)
Blue - to red (power)

*light is now on *

As soon as I connect the red - power to blue
It cuts off

How did you connect your wires

The wires on the light itself are the brown wire (which is the "V" light) and the blue wire (which is for the brake light). Connect the brown wire to your tail light wire. I used a test light to find the right wire in the factory plug. You need to "extend" the blue wire (I just used one of the supplied wire taps) and attach that to the brake light wire in the factory plug. Again use a test light and see which wire is powered when the brakes are applied. If you have only one function working at a time (meaning only have the tail lights on or only have the brake lights on) you will only have one of the factory wires powered during the testing. Oh and also attach the black wire to the ground wire by the latch. I hope this helps. If not let me know and I can take pics and post them
