Sold - please close

SOLD

2013 Scion FRS in East TN, 6sp manual, 77,xxx miles, transferable Toyota warranty to 100k or another 10 months, new factory motor (with about 1700+ miles), transmission and clutch new at 41k, and great Michelin Pilot Sport AS3 + tires. Car is stock, mechanically excellent, interior very good to excellent, exterior good (rock dings, very minor damage in a few spots, and broken aftermarket front lip - no charge haha). Car is also listed on CarGurus with a few more pictures and info. Reduced to sell at $11,400 OBO.

Got several questions about the motor...

The motor was replaced after a factory recall repair to replace the valve springs which resulted in the engine failure after 300+ miles. I bought a 2016 BRZ while I waited 7 weeks to get the car repaired. I love these cars. Wish I could keep 2... but the red one has to go. 🙂

A bit OT. 18 miles from my driveway to the start of the Dragon on the TN side. Did Rick Mcgill's do the valve spring recall? I got the recall letter but have decided not to have it done.

Based on my limited research/reading... I think if I had the decision to make over again, I would probably pass on the recall. The incident rate of post recall problems seems to be higher than the "recall" problem incident rate.

NICE about your close proximity to the dragon. Take care!

Maxton Design. The one piece lip looked really nice until about the fourth time I dug gravel with it.

Edited... Didn't think you might have been asking about the lip on the BRZ. Don't know what it is...no name cheap. It was removed by the interstate breeze.

I have gotten a few offers below 10k. I am willing to negotiate some... Let's get this done. Kdaddy needs a new pair of shoes.
