I got to start installing my new harness this weekend. It is a Schroth Flexi Profi II 6 point. It has been a super easy install up to the point of the anti-sub mounts. I don't want to drill through the floor of the car so I am going to mount it to my Planted seat base.

Your build is an inspiration, any plans for power?

.....I get this question a lot.

Its is really expensive and difficult to add RELIABLE power to a track car that started life NA. We push the car for 30 mins straight. The reason I sold my 240sx is bc it had issues lasting a whole track day without some sort of issue.

I'm not saying that it isn't going to happen, but seeing these cooling and transmissions issues I have been cautious.

However, the time trial class that I will be running this I am hilariously under powered and the Edelbrock kits are enticing.

Love the Oreca seats. Good quality and an even better price point.

I was a little nervous buying such a low price seat but it is a perfect fit for me and the quality is pretty good.

It sounds like you have the same concerns I do. Why not a coated Ace header and tune? I expect that's the route I'll go if I ever decide to increase power.

I have the OpenFlash non-catted header and run the stage 2 93 oct tune and I love it.

Scroth Flexi Profi II install pics

Left side lap belt: The hardware provided with the harness threaded right into the OEM seat belt location.

Right side lap belt: I used the the Planted seat mounts seat belt location with the Scroth hardware.

Shoulder belts: I ran both to my Autopower roll bar. (Which still need to be adjusted a little so I haven't rolled up the excess material yet.

Anti-sub strap: This was the biggest PITA and I am still not sure I like it. But I wrapped the strap around the Planted seat mount bc I didn't want to drill holes in my floor. DONT DO THIS. Shortly after I posted this I contacted a NASA tech inspector and he said this is not legal due to the potential for the belts to wear on the edge of the metal seat mounts.

Fully installed

Nice belts, I think you may want to consider mounting the harness lap belt and sub belt to the floor pan instead of the seat mount. It's painful drilling the holes but it's much safer.

I have come to this realization after reading the NASA rules. I was really hoping to avoid that.

Well you've already welded/drilled in the roll bar so you can't stop now

So I finally, after taking my seat out at least 8 times, my seat and belts installed properly and legally.

255/40 maxxis rc1s are due in next week. Then i need to decide on a final drive and coilovers.
