Yesterday morning, I called Jackson Racing and explained my situation and sent them short videos of my gauge readings. I called them again in the afternoon and answered a couple more of their questions. They were supposed to call me back but so far, they don't seem too interested. They were concerned that the engine was rebuilt after ejecting the rocker arms but they ignored the fact that the pressure problem existed before that incident but on that they only have my word. We'll see what next week brings. |

I've got the rad out of the car. Not a great test, but no apparent restriction when I blew air through the lines and cooler. JR is not willing to help.
I'm looking at going to an oil to air cooler. The Perrin kit looks good to me. Any other recommendations that's not JR? I've looked for a thread on oil coolers but haven't found one. |

I'm not much help because mine is a franken-cooler. I will say with confidence in my own testing, the Perrin unit is undersized. Assuming thermostatic control, can safely daily with twice the capacity. Double that for dedicated track use.

They source their coolers from here iirc https://setrabusa.com/collections/pr...r.v.price.lte= if you all you would need is to make your own mounting bracket and lines |

Just get a decent thermostatically controlled kit. Don't cheap out.

@Ultramaroon: Thank you for your input. The more that I read the more I might go with something like yours. Your brackets look better that professional. For me, if I run a thermostatic plate, over capacity should not be an issue.
I'm thinking of mounting the cooler more forward and/or higher so the ports will aim to the left side to eliminate the elbows and 2' of hose. I've read where some folks use a smaller washer reservoir to reduce weight and it would make space to run my hoses. |

Unless there's something I'm missing, I think the 34 row will fit my needs. It's for engines up to 230 hp. Advertised oil pressure drop is 1.5-2 psi. The next size down is a 25-row cooler with a 2-2.5 psi drop.
