Lip is cracked, any way to fix it?
My HT Autos lip is cracked, is there any way to fix it?
Also, anyway to push the rivet back in to make the lip flush to bumper? The paint I'm not worried (#Sharpie). |

2-part epoxy to bond it back together, then sand smooth and repaint. Remove the rivet altogether and install a new one.

really need to plastic weld it, as well as staple it to properly fix. epoxy is just going to pull apart again.
could try some plastic bonding techniques, but it requires knowing the type of plastic involved, as well as having spare material to back up the cracked area to support both sides of the crack. and correct on the rivet-- unless it's the expandable rubber type, they're generally one-time-use, and if it pulled out, it likely tore the hole enough that you'll need to step up to the 1-4 sizes larger rivet to properly re-secure everything.

this is the specific process for ABS plastic. but there's dozens of different plastics out there, and each one has a different technique. you need to do as he's doing and add a backer piece of the same type of material across the crack so each side of the crack is fully supported. there is no method that can simply just bond the 2 halves of hte crack back together. the crack means that part has lost support. support must be added back into the part in order for it to not crack further. the staple method involves a $150+ tool to do, and is required for some urethanes https://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-ho...ir-system.html or, you can take it to a body shop, tell them to fix it, they figure it all out, warranty the work for a long time, and bill you/your insurance for it...

Based on what FT86Speed says, part is polyurethane. I'd be tempted to try to weld with a soldering iron or Harbor Freight has a cheap plastic welding kit. Would try to reenforce the back side as well. I used a soldering iron to weld my fender garnish and it turned out good. It would need filler and paint afterwards though.
