PTUNING Billet Aluminum Lightweight Battery Tray

If you are in the market for a mini battery to shed some weight off your FR-S/BRZ for auto crossing, road racing, or even street driving and need a bolt-on battery mounting tray to properly secure the mini battery, we have the solution.

Our billet battery tray is design to properly mount over half a dozen popular mini battery sizes including: Odyssey, Braille, and Shorai (more applications to come). The custom FR-S/BRZ-specific mounting base plate is laser cut and CNC bent from 1/8" thick aluminum plate and utilizes three factory mounting points for added safety. The third mounting point keeps the battery from rocking back and forth during hard braking and acceleration. The mounting tray is finished in a smooth black protective coating.

The battery tray is CNC machined from 1/2" thick T6061 aluminum billet and anodized black. The battery tie-down is CNC machined from 5/8" thick T6061 aluminum billet and is secure to the battery tray with 3/8" SS counter-sunk socket head cap bolt for a clean yet strong battery tie-down. The battery tie-down is anodized black and engraved with the PTUNING "Round" logo. The modular billet battery tray can be converted to hold a 4 pound battery up to a 15 pound battery by simply changing out to the correct length tie-down bolts. This modular setup allows you to switch from one battery to another without having to buy a completely new battery mounting kit. This modular setup will also offer you the option of mounting our air oil separator catch can to the battery tray (AOS catch can in development) and can also be mounted to our future water/meth injection kit.

Design Features:
- Modular design accommodates over seven different mini battery sizes (more battery fitment applications to come). Billet battery tray and tie-down can also be used with our soon-to-be-released water/meth injection kit.
- Laser cut and CNC bent FR-S/BRZ-specific battery mounting tray with three bolt-on mounting points.
- Battery tray kit does not utilize any of the existing factory battery tray, mounting bracket, or j-hooks for a clean installation.
- CNC machined and anodized billet aluminum battery tray with recess pockets to keep battery in-place and also contain any potential battery leakage.
- CNC machined and anodized billet aluminum battery tie-down with PTUNING "Round" logo engraving.
- 3/8" Stainless Steel battery tie-down bolts and zinc plated and stainless mounting hardware.
- Custom wing nut to utilize the factory tie-down mounting location and eliminates the unsightly factory j-hooks.
- Modular base plate mounting system allows for mounting of optional air oil separator catch can to battery tray.
- Battery tray kit with hardware weighs 30 oz. without battery.
- Battery tray kit with a Shorai LFX36L3-BS12 lithium ion battery totals 6.8 lbs vs the factory battery and hardware at 31.4 lbs. That’s a weight savings of over 24 lbs.

Battery Fitment:
- Odyssey PC680/PC680MJ
- Odyssey PC545
- Odyssey PC310
- Braille B106
- Braille B129
- Braille B14115
- Braille B2015
- Shorai LFX36L3-BS12
- Ballistic Evo2 16Cell HD <= new fitment application 9/13/2013
- Shorai LFX14L2-BS12 <= new fitment application 9/26/2013
- And more to fitment to come…

NOTE: Battery tray kit does not include battery. We can recommend some online stores that offers great pricing on the Odyssey, Braille, and Shorai batteries.

For pricing information please refer to our Vendor Classifieds Thread Here

Battery and complete tray weighs 90.6 oz (5.66 lbs)

The catch can will bolt directly to the existing battery tray setup utilizing all the existing components in the battery tray kit.
