Ford already tested the market with the Focus RS. People seem willing to pay a stupid amount for a very capable car, despite the base model being a shitbox.

Yeah that PP for $1200 is a bargain! Very fair pricing overall from Toyota on the GR Corolla (and the GR86 for that matter).

Still love my BRZ, but when my kids outgrow the rear seats I may try to find one of these.

So there is room for kids . My wife was pissed when she found out my next car wasn't a 4-door (she has a RAV4 though). We just have one kid. I'm thinking it's not as big a deal. My dad had a CRX back in the day, probably comparable "back seats" then again there's an actual seat in the BRZ. The CRX had holes in the frame for your butt, but not much else for comfort lol.

Haha I’ve found it works well enough as a secondary family car. It’s a pain loading kids into the back, but if you’re only doing it occasionally it’s completely fine and worth the hassle for the other 99 percent of time when you’re enjoying the car. If you plan to regularly transport your kids (or entire family) in it though, I’d definitely look elsewhere.

One of the only reasons I got the FRS was because it had a back seat to haul the grandsons around in. They didn't need car seats mind you.
Having a back seat would make no difference now though.

If anyone was able to make the back seats work in a twin, they'll have no problem with back seats in anything since its probably one of the smallest USABLE rear seats in a production car right now.

Both the grandsons are well over 6' now and the back seat just does not work anymore!

I think the solution for tall people in the back is to drop the seatback and have them spoon in the trunk space :P

That ain't gonna happen. Can barely have them in the same building without a brawl breaking out.

Real solution, take off the trunk lid and instant rumble seat!

I don't know what the life is going to be on the Haldex clutch packs, but the oil and filter service on VW Haldex diffs are like 20k miles. That isn't bad, but something to consider. I'm assuming the interval could be even less if this is constantly slipping.
