A few years back we had a bunch of these terrorizing the neighborhood.

I have lots of squirrels, quail, and rabbits, and have the occasional rock chuck and badger (thankfully only once). Saw a dead skunk on the side of the road just down the road from our subdivision. Just hope we never get them in the subdivision. I can imagine the nightmare of having two GSDs sprayed by a skunk.

Oh, and getting woken up at 2am by a great horned owl has lost its coolness.

Well if we expand beyond just my backyard (which is probably about .02% of yours) then we have skunks, racoons, ducks, herons, owls, deer, coyotes, foxes, turkeys, possums, chipmunks, geese (so so many geese), vultures, falcons, hawks and just about every other bird in central North America within a block of home.
Luckily most stay out of our yard since it is mostly swimming pool.

Yea, we have Lake Lowell and the Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge one mile South of us, and thankfully most critters prefer to stay there. We are just target practice for the clouds of Canada Geese that come and go each year.

My little nugget got spayed on Saturday.

Recovering very well. Absolutely detests wearing the jumper, but I bet she'd hate a cone even more. Energy levels almost back to normal... trying to control her zoomies to stop her from jumping on and off the couch while she heals has proven challenging lol. I took the ramp away assuming it would stop her from going up, but that just emboldened her to jump up so the ramp has gone back.

Had the same issues with the wife.
