Would FB Green or Red fit any existing kit?

Two of my friends are upgrading their Evo IX's for a bigger turbo instead of their FP Green/Red and will give/sell their turbos, my question;

How do an FP Green and a Red translate in Garret terms?

Can use either ( or even a stock evo turbo) with an existing developers kit? Which one? That will save me a bunch as you know since I'll be saving the turbo's cost.

Thanks

completely different. The TD05HR has it's own flanges on both sides of the turbine, so no. Then the outlet flange is also on an odd-ball angle and tilted beyond perpendicular in relation to the inlet flange.

I'd kicked around the idea for years on fitting one onto an EJ but never felt like dealing with the headache of trying to make it work.

FP Green is the ultimate street turbo IMHO. A lot of my evo/subie buddies use them. As long as the flange is right it can bolt up, id ask the guys making the turbo kits.

Better off getting a Garret of Precision. Check other forums that FP makes turbos for and you will see their reputation. IWSTI and NASIOC would be the two I would check first.

Their turbos are ok but the customer service and warranty are sub par.

You also would be a custom setup to run this turbo. The evo series of exhaust manifold and downpipe are far from any kit I have seen yet.

Thank you guys. The main idea was to save since I might be able to - maybe you too - get it for fraction of its price new.

Anyhow, my car is still under break-in and I don't see fully "mature" options for FI yet. Maybe in 8-12 months when everything is better known and prices are within $4k for a 400 whp kit.

I come from an Evo 9 myself and although didn't modify it but back in 2008, options were pretty solid and tested.

FP can suck on a tailpipe, thank you very much. They took a $#!+ on the Subaru community. No one here should be giving them a dime.

Why don't you tell us how you really feel.

But really , FP has the best compressor wheels in the market. I suggest them exclusively for my big power subie customer
