Oil pressure/temp gauges & block8head.com gauge pod

Looking at getting dedicated oil pressure and temp gauges and already have p3. Would like to free up obd2 (disconnect p3) so I can log with my MX wifi odb2 while on track.

Not sure if the block8head.com pod (ideal placement for me) is sturdy enough for track, especially the dual pod. Alternatively I could put a single oil pressure gauge on top and oil temp in vent instead of p3.

Your experience with the dual block8head gauge pod on track/ax? Thx

I hear they are good and wish he was making those when I did my gauge. I just have a factory pillar that I had a guy mould a pod it turned out really well and looks OEM

Also, did anyone install new sensors for both oil pressure and oil temperature? I saw posts on the oil pressure sensor but still searching for the best oil temp sensor location. I know I can read oil temp via odb2 but would like to free it up.

There are some threads on this but there is another tap location on top of the block. I use that one for oil pressure and then just replaced the factory oil pressure warning sensor with the temp one.

Thanks, did you have a chance to compare oil temp readings from the new oil temp sensor you installed in the oil pressure warning sensor location to the oil temps from stock sensor, accessible thru odb2?

I've been introduced to Stack gauges and like their flash-beyond-threshold design. Gauge model: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sgg-st3502/overview/

Could 120-130psi cold start pressures damage this 100psi max gauge in any way? I assume not but please chime in.

Question Aftermarket gauges for the twins

I asked about these on the STX thread but have no response yet. I am wondering if anyone has tried the Longacre stepper motor gauges in a twin?

Oil pressure/temp gauges & block8head.com gauge pod

Ok, ordered Stack 3502 gauge and single vent gauge pod from block8head.com. Will be installed by EFI Logics by mid-April. Was considering both oil pressure/temp gauges but pressure is key and I can glance at the p3 gauge only when I see that the pressure gauge is flashing...less things to be distracted by in the direct field of vision. Thanks for responses

Need to configure the pressure gauge but it's bright, it looks great and it changes colors (white/green/? - haven't read instructions or pushed it into the danger/blinking mode yet, that one is probably red)

Top left is Stack pressure 0-100 PSI gauge, bottom left is P3 (I keep it on oil temp) and the right gauge is AFR/boost. I'll take better pictures when I have some time.

Danko - how solid is the mounting of the blockhead part? Thinking about the 2 or 3 pod model. Going to run DEFI gauges.
