Well so much for 2021....leak down test confirmed the piston rings in the #2 cylinder is cracked or something. I let the car idle to temp the other day and smoke was pouring out of the engine bay. Apparently the header had cracked and blowby from the cylinder was coming into the exhaust port and running down the crack of the header and burning off....Well I have another motor already started for an engine build! So not all bad just means I'm not going to be tracking the car like I was hoping this year. But I do have my buddy's miata that I'm going to take to HPDEs just to keep up on my skills.

That is too bad about your engine. Glad to hear you have a new engine build already coming along.
I love those Wilwood pedals. Did you have to do anything custom to get them to work with the car? |

yeah, it was a lot of work. I hand made all the lines, and had to come up with a way to mount them on an angle, and make a pushrod system to actuate the stock drive by wire pedal.

Sorry to hear about that. Maybe it is time to K swap. At least that is my plan and we tend to do the same things. If not, I am selling my 2013 FA20 engine. Shes a trooper 50k miles and no issues other than coil packs.

YEAH! I really didn't think anyone was following this thread so kinda let it go recently.
It has been determined that I DO have the money for the Kpower Kswap and have since purchased a K24a2 and a Supercharger bracket from a company in England. As far as the FA20, I noticed that the smoke seems to clear up with some throttle, and I believe its the piston rings (or possible valve seals) blowing blowby into the exhaust port. Either way I decided to just get the largest catch can I could find (see below), and just run the car until the motor formally resigned. I have had one track event since then, and the car ran fine all day. It was also the first day on my new brake setup with no ABS and no brake booster/dual master cylinders, and I got back up to the same pace as last time I was at that track but it is still going to take some fine tuning on my end as heel-toeing is a lot harder now.

Got new springs for my FA510s. went from 10k front to 11k , and 8k rear to 9k. Car has had issues rubbing on the frame at full compression with the aero like at charlotte motorspeed way (130mph nascar turn), and I'm trying desperately not to raise it. Put some new 2 piece wilwood rotors on, replaced the battery with an Anti-Gravity battery that weighs 3lbs. The little battery I had leaked laying on its side.
Next event is Carolina Motorsports Park May 12, VIR May 19, and Road Atlanta June 20th.

According to kpower guys they lost 124lbs doing their kswap, so that would potentially bring it down to 2300 even. Plus a few other things, I should have a 22xx lbs 86.
