I just realized yesterday that due to being unemployed most of last year, I should be able to qualify for an EV credit due to being in a lower tax bracket for 2022. Wonder if I should take advantage.

It's a very good question.

The extra nice thing is my current complex just installed like 14 or so new chargers. Half are Tesla only but the other half are for any EV. Makes charging really convenient.

I thought it was based on 2023 income, because you file it with your 2023 taxes. Could be wrong.

Definitely need to check, I figured it was based on W-2's and those are just coming in for 2022.

If not then I guess an EV is out.
