Just wondering if we blow an engine will the 2.4 be an option?

Probably not a cheap one but like any swap money solves all problems.

We are years away from the new engine being available for anything approaching a decent price.
It will not be a drop in plug and play operation anyway.
Same reasons you don’t see a pile of WRX or STI swaps now.
If doing a swap why go to trouble and expense for a 15% increase?
How many more people are going to make a thread asking this?

The Honda K24 looks like a better option.

it's the same motor as the ascent, which is out already, so we could swap it anytime we want. i hear verus is making a plug-n-play harness. it'll even run on the stock tune.

I read it wasnt really the same as the Ascent motor.

Unless by definition it isnt the same due to one being turbocharged and one being N/A.

Same block and internals but it ends there. Even a bigger difference than just NA vs turbo since it has the Toyota injection system.

i'd have to put it on facebook for that.

verus would never release a wiring harness without first doing wind tunnel testing.

It’s like why not put a decent engine in for replacement. Why stick with a Subaru, especially if you have an FRS or 86.
