As you stated they knew what they were doing when they went into it. They are not new to this and all the armchair CEOs can sit back and make unfounded claims all they want it does not change the fact that as it is the car was a success.
the plan/goal was set so low that they have a high probability of hitting it and calling it a success... it's all business.. i do that all the time in my line of work because most companies love to underpromise and overachieve

I'm sure Toyota - the top-selling automaker in the world - is going to be super interested in hearing what your apparent 2.5 GPA in Finance 101 has to say about their operation.

I'd just say it's probably good this is an anonymous forum or you might find yourself losing clients, but by all means keep chiming in. It gives us all something to laugh at while we wait for western-media test-drives and stuff.

speaking of which
does anyone have any updates on when this 2nd gen car gets test driven/embargos/etc?

any information at all? rumored dates? anything?

We're resorting to internet business grads arguing about the proper way to run a business with expertise in supply/demand projectioning.....

The boss gets annoyed when I leave too many marks on the floor. Fortunately the parking lot out front is open game.

Message to the site devs: This new UI is awful. It doesn't even say "Reddit" anywhere.

I hope the new one fixes the front passenger seat where the seatbelt threshold is higher and won’t go off with the tiniest item on the seat

It will probably be exactly the same. It isn't a weight thing since it is an induction field that detects moisture (your butt). You could put 200 pounds of dry bricks on there and not trigger it or half a brick that is moist that will. Since it is an electrical field it will also be triggered by some devices especially if they are plugged in. Try it with your cell phone. Not plugged in then nothing. Plugged in it thinks you have a passenger.

Or plugged in, laying in the seat, vs plugged in with the phone laying on the seat so the charging end is in the air. I do that all the time, no chimes.
