anyone interested in doing a Ride of the month?

a previous forum i was on, would start one week before the end of the month, first 5 people to get 3 nominations each would get in next months Ride of the month poll

it was a poll system, each person nominated would post a few photos and some mods on there car

possibly start something like this?

I always enjoy seeing those types of contests across various forums. The only problem is, do the Mods have the time/interest to run it? Not that it's TOO time intensive, but it still takes time and attention.

I can think of a car or five on here that are suitable for the inaugural contest though!

As soon as somebody throws on a sticker, goes more then a couple of degrees of camber, plastidips something or gets tires that are 1/2 an inch larger then one person likes this place can turn into a shit show. I can't even imagine the resulting conversations if cars were pitted against each other on here.

I'll talk with other mods & admin to start on this.

I'm guilty of this. We do have 5 mods... but realistically speaking we only have 2 active mods that maintain the forum. Some days I can't get around (due to all the race & events on the wkend), but if we get few vendors supporting this, I'll cut few areas of my time to get this thing rolling.

Yup, cuz not everyone want to mod their car & they might have some kind of cool hobby that work together with FRS/BRZ.

Either way, without our boss's approval can't do it. & if we can get few vendors supporting this to get members motivated, it'll be win win imo

Can always do different categories.

Show cars - Cars that can't do anything else besides looking good
Go cars - Your "beast" that can actually be driven on the street, legally and safely
Race cars - For off-road/track only. Period.
