was browsing forums to go message him about something and found out that all his threads were deleted and that the user is banned.

They need to compare it to the Chinese soap in a manner which is clearly advertizing but then say that since they didn't include pricing it is not advertizing at all. Very important that they spam it over a dozen or so car forums while acting like they are doing people on each one some sort of favour.

Have you been on a forum where the vendors do not pay? Revenue has to come from somplace and if not from vendors then it comes from ads. This forum has very few ads and what there is do not interfer with the forum use at all. I have been on forums where ads take up half the page, each page takes forever to load since it is filled with animated ads, you would get pop ups in the middle a post and it wiped out what you were writing and sometimes they would freeze the site up solid. All in all it was a pain in the ass.
