Condensation Build up in Valenti

Hey community, I know this is a very common problem and I'm ordering ninjagaskets to prevent it in the future, but before that, does anyone have an easy method of removing the water from the tail light? I have like an inch build up and I didn't even notice it because its always raining.

Put it in a sack of rice for about a day or more. It's a cheap yet very effective way to absorb moisture. It's the method used on submerged phones.

Please don't.
That isn't how rice works.

You have no idea how many peoples laptops and phones I have opened due to water damage and finding the laptops in particular being full of rice and still having water inside.

Put thing like that in in a container with actual moisture absorbing packets like damp rid.
That would be more likely to do something, even then I doubt It'd do much.

Whatever method you use to dry these out you will probably get water spots on the inside of the lights.
I had a dent in my trunk fixed. They had to remove the original tail lights to fix it. After they re-installed them, incorrectly, they washed the car and got water in the tail lights.
After removing them, I pored a small amount of distilled water into the light socket hole, rotate the socket counter-clockwise to remove it, and rinsed the inside several times. I used my wife's hair dryer to dry the inside of the lights. No water spots.

Three years ago I replaced the originals with Valentis. So far no leaks. If installed correctly and the bolts torqued to spec they should not leak.

The absorption packets seem like an interesting idea, but I agree might not help much. I’ll try that if someone doesn’t have a solution.

And yeah I didn’t install these, I bought the car years ago used with them pre-installed, didn’t build up condensation until recently without me knowing. I don’t think there’s a light socket for me to pour water out of unfortunately.

Use a hairdryer to help evaporate the collected water (avoid blasting an area for too long to negate plastic warping). Correct me if I'm wrong, but there should be a couple screws you can remove on the back to help drain the water out. It's a game of tilting the tails to let water drain while also heating up the housing to help evaporate. You're almost certain to end up with water marks - I haven't tried the distilled method though.

Right, forgot these are all LEDs, but there is a cross cut (see pic) where the wires go in that you maybe can add and remove distilled water with a plastic syringe and, if needed, a small plastic hose. Yeah, sounds a little crazy adding water when you are trying to get it out.
