I've never seen your car around here, do you ever do any canyon runs or go to any events around here?
I did a very few this past two years but ive been calming down on the cruises a lot lol. I got in a really bad car accident when i was 20 in my old rx-8 and decided my next sports car I'd try to live my life a bit safer. As specially since now mommy and daddy don't pay for my stuff anymore

First off sorry to hear, what an asshole cop. my friend got a ticket for exhaust but only needed to get it signed off.

Though if i had to make a guess, that wang is a cop magnet

but i believe if you just pay everything you dont need to show up to court? unless you're trying to fight the ticket, which in this case push it back a few times and hope he doesnt show

edit: jk listen to @mav1178

I had already done my research after i had posted this. I would of liked to hear other people's input and what they've done, usually the reason we have forums to go to. However the hpd gave me a citation code 27156(B) which requires a smog, something he had failed to tell me.

... it would help if you posted relevant information on what was written on the ticket.... if I had known you were cited for modified emissions equipment I would've told you to put it back to stock.

The officer can tell you whatever you want to hear. It's up to you to 1) read and understand what you are being cited for, 2) point out any discrepancies or errors on the ticket to the officer, and 3) all else being the same, what's written on the ticket is what matters.

You can ignore the ticket and pay the fine. When I paid mine back in 2003 or so, it costs $500+.

And a final word of advice: 27156(b) means you cannot drive the car until you get it fixed, period. 27156(f) is the code that prohibits you from driving the car.

Know the law.

Read my previous post above yours. My ticket hasn't even been processed yet, and thus 1. i don't even know how much i should be paying. 2. Theres no point to smog it until further notice.

Ignorance doesn't mean you get off.

Just because it's not posted doesn't mean it has disappeared. If you get pulled over again for any reason, and they find that you have an existing 27156(b) violation, you will get your car impounded.

I was down this road 15 years ago and my ticket never showed up online, only when I called the court.

As for the fine, it varies based on jurisdiction and county.
