Auto Brz 0-60 time with oft

Just curious... if timing correctly, im hitting 0-60 in 7.3 seconds in ny brz that is running stage 2+ e85 tune with borla uel, stock op, dp, and midpipe. Muffler delete as well as injen sri. Does that seem right? I was hoping to get under 7 sec 0-60 but it doesnt seem like thats the case. Also an estimate of how much who/tq i could be running with this setup. Im assuming 205/170🤷🏾*♂️

you shouldn't be running anything higher than 6 seconds with that kind of mod and tuning.. Yea that doesn't seem right at all.
was trac off, any wheel spin, what's the tire, sea level? temperature? You tried launching at higher RPM? (hold brake slightly before gas)

@ojuniour you realize this is an auto right? Those times are in line with that power level and this trans. Your number of being under 6 in an auto is way off.

Make sure your maf is scaled for the injen short ram, it's kind of a poor performer anyway it may be better to go back to stock and get a drop in. Also muffler delete doesn't do anything for power just brings out that uel sound. With e85 and the uel you are probably at 200 crank and 160-170 at the wheels.

The limiting factor here is the final drive is essentially different due to the trans gearing. Look into 4.56 or 4.88 gears for the rear diff and you'll get the numbers you are expecting. It puts 1-4 more in line if not past the gearing of the manual, and you will certainly get the times you are looking for.

Fair enough but my 17 auto sits around 6.8 sec.
I'll have to test it out again after the new uel header I just installed. Maybe the OP has a catted header

Using dragy a much more accurate measuring tool then using the cars speedo especially if you don’t have stock wheels. I hit a verified 6.6sec on 92octane with my auto. Grimmspeed intake, Crawford billet blocks, ace 250 header, hks double res FP, CSG mxp catback, fensport oversized water/alt pulleys, CF driveshaft, 100lbs weight reduction, 4.56fd swap and custom OFT tune with 92octane

Pre 17s MT and AT have same 4.1 FD just MTs actual gearing is more aggressive and more closely spaced. 17+ MT got the 4.3 but gearing is still the same. You can’t change gear spacing with FD. Only final gear ratio aggressiveness. You will still shift into the same RPM regardless.
The 4.56 FD swap only took .2sec off 0-60, the problem is your about .4sec faster to top of 2nd but it’s now 57mph instead of 63 and you lose .2sec shifting resulting in only .2sec faster. The biggest difference the FD swap made is in 4th before it couldn’t pull at all in 4th was just to tall. 3rd hits 92 shift to 4th and fall on its face stock FD 4th hits 128. With 4:56fd 3rd hits 83mph shifts, and you need less power to accelerate at 83mph vs 92mph so you can pull hard still and then once you hit 95mph your back in peak powerband and keep pulling hard to top of 4th at 115mph.

But the biggest difference MT vs AT in 0-60 and 1/4mile is MT shaves an additional full second off from launching. Both stock neither launching at all MT is 8.1 AT is 8.2. MT with a launch can hit 6.4, AT 7.4. If AT could launch the same they’d be almost identical 0-60. The closer gearing helps more in the 1/4th but they would still be less then 1/2 second apart.

On a friendly dyno your probably a lot closer to 190whp. If you swapped to EL header and custom tune you could maybe hit 200whp on a friendly dyno. ATs have about 2% more drivetrain loss. MT 170WHP / AT 166WHP on friendly dynos. Which is actually really good for a slushbox.

Make sure you hold the traction button 3+ seconds to turn all nannies off. Just put it into sport mode it’ll shift perfectly vs doing manually. Hold the brake rev to 2400+- rpm (every stall converter locks at slightly different rpm) then let go brake and floor it. Should chirp the tires hook up and take off. Doing that with your mods should be probably 6.8-7.0 depending on road surface. Just take a MT with same setup and add 1 second for lack of launching should be close.
