BRZ manual or automatic?

really digging the news from subaru... can't wait!

it sounds like subaru is trying to figure out whether to do manual and/or automatic...

can someone set up a poll? i dunno how to do eet!
=P

also, just wondering, for the guys who know this sort of stuff (i.e. not me lol)... any chance that it would have a double-clutch transmission?

thx! =D

Dual clutch? No chance this time around. Quite possible in the future.

Me, it's got to be a manual.

First off...

1. Manual

2. There's at least 2 threads on this already.

3. There's probably a poll somewhere too.

4. ???

5. Profit!

I say make both. But make it so that the sportiest trim level has only the 6-speed manual with no option for automatic. Sort of like the Hyundai Genesis coupe R-spec or the Mazdaspeed 3. Let the secretaries have their automatic in base and "grand touring/bloated" trim levels so that this car continues to sell...but make sure the enthusiast feels special too.

Considering the manual-only STIs, this may be possible. Would be teh awesomez too.

I actually like the fact that the 3.8 Track is available with automatic. I could care less about the R-Spec model and its inherently flawed manual gearboxes. 90% of owners of manual Gencoupes complain and most of them went through 2-3 trannies. The auto is bulletproof with the GC(ZF6SPD)!!
