Is the widebody fad ruining our cars?

Maybe I am the only one who see's it coming, I pray to my atheist non-existant God that I am not, that our unmolested 86's will be worth a pretty penny in the not so distant future due to all of the children ruining their cars by mounting widebody kits to them. Have we not learned from the 90's and early 2000's?

Widebodies are TEMPORARY(yet with no return to stock), NOT PRACTICAL(not even a little bit), RARELY FUNCTIONAL(with most applications), UGLY AS DIRT(with most applications), A WASTE OF MONEY(that you could be giving your mother for rent), RICER AS FUCK(Asia rules!), and most of all CHILDISH(tiny peepee).

This scenario is no different than trying to find an unmolested Nissan 240 or Toyota MR2. Those were both amazing cars yet to find one stock would be a rare gem due to the ignorance of people's children.

Anyone want to argue about it?

Worth a pretty penny? Not really, not soon anyways, maybe 10-15+ years down the road the prices will level. It will raise the value for those who purchased new and kept it near stock. It only takes one new/better model to come out for early models to be worth next to nothing. Look at Corvettes for example.
Temporary? nope
Not practical? how much practicality does it lose? not much, other than being a sleeper or fitting into tight parking spots.
Waste of money? Not your money.
Ugly? Looks are subjective.
Ricer? Look above.
Childish? Kids are allowed to have fun too.

I don't see it as a bad thing, when those cars go to the junkyard, parts will plentiful for those already in the club. FT86CLUB BABY!

I am going to ignore 90% of your post because you only stated one thing worth of any attention: HOW THE FUCK DOES A WIDEBODY MAKE/NOTMAKE A CAR A SLEEPER????

A stock body would look sleeper in comparison.
Subtle mods. Supercharger/turbo kit/engine swap.
Stock looking other than maybe wheels.

Not everyone wants to be fast. Some people want to look cool/different.

Looking cool and being different at the cost of what??? Ruining the reputation and essentially market value an awesome car that was made for cost efficient performance and that ALREADY looks great from the factory? Buy a different car for that.

Have you thought about this?

Is the cost to coolness ratio worthy?

I don't think you have any idea how much wind tunnel testing costs.
If a person reaches the point where they actually need it, I doubt they would be doing it and still be using stock tires.

Jesus Christ. Do you own a car?

No one uses actual wind tunnels these days, not even the car manufacturers(who would be using stock tires). I use a suite of software that simulates a real wind tunnel to 100% accuracy but with more detailed data than a real tunnel.

There are a few different programs out there. I use Autodesk Flowdesign. And trust me, none of them are cheap kid.
